User Data Policy

• Profile data: Name, faculty, department, level, matric number, bio, avatar.
• Activity data: Posts, comments, messages, follows, likes, resource uploads.
• Points data: Campus points balance and transaction history.
• Settings: Theme preference, low data mode, quiet hours (stored on your device).

CampusPaddy is optimized for low data environments:

• Low Data Mode disables auto-loading images — they load on tap.
• Resource metadata is cached for offline browsing.
• API responses are compressed and paginated to minimize data consumption.
• The app is designed to work even on social bundle data plans.

When you download a resource, we track the download count to surface popular materials. When you upload a file, it is stored in our secure cloud storage and associated with your account. You can delete your uploads at any time.

We send in-app notifications for new messages, reactions, campus updates, and referral rewards. You can customize notification preferences in Profile → Settings. Quiet Hours can suppress notification badges during specified times.

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your profile, content, and associated data within 30 days. Some anonymized, aggregated data may be retained for analytics purposes.

All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Access to your personal data is restricted to authorized personnel and administrators within your campus. We do not share your data with third-party advertisers.
