Community Guidelines

These guidelines help keep CampusPaddy safe, welcoming, and useful for every student. By using the platform, you agree to follow them.

Be Respectful

Treat every member of the CampusPaddy community with kindness. No harassment, bullying, hate speech, or personal attacks. Disagree respectfully and focus on ideas, not individuals.

Be Authentic

Use your real identity. Do not impersonate other students, staff, or public figures. Misleading profiles, fake credentials, or stolen identities will result in immediate account suspension.

Post Responsibly

Share accurate information. Do not spread misinformation, rumors, or unverified claims. Label opinions as opinions and facts as facts. Think before you post — your words affect real people.

Protect Privacy

Do not share another person's personal information without consent — phone numbers, addresses, matric numbers, photos, or private messages. Respect everyone's right to privacy.

No Prohibited Content

No explicit content, violence, illegal activities, drug promotion, weapons, or scam attempts. Marketplace listings must be for legitimate items only — no counterfeit goods or fraudulent schemes.

No Spam or Manipulation

Do not flood the platform with repetitive posts, unsolicited messages, or engagement manipulation (buying likes, fake reviews, coordinated upvoting). Let organic engagement thrive.

Reporting Violations

If you see content that violates these guidelines, use the Report button on any post, listing, or profile. Our moderation team reviews reports promptly and takes appropriate action, including warnings, content removal, and account suspension for repeat offenders.

Anonymity Notice

CampusPaddy offers public-facing anonymity for Campus Talks posts — your name is hidden from other students when you post anonymously. However, this anonymity is not absolute. Administrators can identify the authors of anonymous posts, and CampusPaddy cooperates with lawful investigations where required. Your anonymity protects you from peer scrutiny, not from accountability.
